This was followed by a discussion on waste streams, methods of domestic and commercial segregation and the 'which bin challenge' getting everyone involved in what can and can;t be reused, reduced or recycled. After everyone was suitably provided with high visibility jackets and hard hats, we proceeded with a tour around the Materials Recycling Facility showing all stages of the processing and segregation of recyclable materials from the incoming Weighbridge vehicles carrying waste right to the baling, compacting and loading of valued commodities.
